Conference venue
IWSP-2024 will be held in Niemcza, a small town located on the Ślęza River, approximately 48 kilometers south of the regional capital, Wrocław. Niemcza holds historical significance as one of the most important towns in Silesia, with traces dating back to the Bronze Age. Between 1000 and 800 B.C., people of the Lusatian culture fortified the „city hill,” incorporating it into their Silesian defense system. Currently, Niemcza is is a town with approximately 2800 inhabitants and serves as a central hub for the tourist region. The town hosts various industries, including small machinery, clothing, wood, knitting, and food. Additionally, Niemcza boasts over 30 beautiful structures listed in the national register of monuments.
The workshop will be hosted at Hotel Niemcza. The conference venue is beautifully situated by beautiful mountain surroundings and an atmospheric 3.5 ha park with old trees. Nearby bicycle paths and beautiful area by the Ślęza river encourage activity and sightseeing. You can also visit the beautiful arboretum of the University of Wrocław, located about 15 minutes away walking distance from the hotel.
