We are pleased to inform you that the IWSP-2024 conference will proceed as scheduled. The flood situation has stabilized, and the main roads to both Wroclaw and Niemcza remain open and accessible.

IWSP-2024 will be held in Niemcza, a small town located on the Ślęza River, approximately 48 kilometers south of the regional capital, Wrocław. Niemcza holds historical significance as one of the most important towns in Silesia, with traces dating back to the Bronze Age. Between 1000 and 800 B.C., people of the Lusatian culture fortified the “city hill,” incorporating it into their Silesian defense system. Currently, Niemcza is is a town with approximately 2800 inhabitants and serves as a central hub for the tourist region. The town hosts various industries, including small machinery, clothing, wood, knitting, and food. Additionally, Niemcza boasts over 30 beautiful structures listed in the national register of monuments.
HOTEL
The workshop will be hosted at Hotel Niemcza. The conference venue is beautifully situated by beautiful mountain surroundings and an atmospheric 3.5 ha park with old trees.(interactive map available here). The surrounding grounds are ideal for taking advantage of the benefits of outdoor activity. Nearby bicycle paths and beautiful area by the Ślęza river encourage activity and sightseeing. You can also visit the beautiful arboretum of the University of Wrocław, located about 15 minutes away walking distance from the hotel.
The IWSP-2024 will create plenty of opportunity to promote new products, materials and equipment related to surface science research. A stand located in a lecture room will be provided for exhibitors. A possibility to advertise your company in the conference booklet of abstracts, to insert promotional material in the participant wallet, and to display the company logo at the workshop website will also be offered. The total charge for a standard IWSP-2024 exhibitor package, including the above profits and a full registration for one company representative (with board and lodging during the workshop, access to scientific sessions, as well as all social events), is 1000 EUR.
Other forms of support, such as the sponsorship of one of social events at IWSP-2024, scholarships covering participation costs of Ph.D. students, or special prizes for outstanding oral and poster presentations of early-career researchers, are also welcome.

The abstract must be submitted by the presenting author. If you have not yet registered for IWSP-2024, please click here to fill the online registration form first. Prepare your abstract according to instructions specified in the attached exemplary abstract (pdf or docx). Name the abstract file by the surname of the presenting author and the preferred form of presentation, e.g., ‘Smith_oral’ or ‘Smith_poster’.
Create a PDF version of your abstract and send it by e-mail (see our contact e-mail address) along with the respective source file (*.tex, *.doc, *.rtf, *.odt). Enter your surname and the preferred form of presentation in the subject line of your e-mail to help identify your submission. Distinct IWSP-2024 contributions should be submitted in separate e-mails.
NOTE: As a rule, no more than one oral presentation − and two in total, including posters − will be accepted per IWSP-2024 participant.
